My husband and I just returned from a 4 day stay at Janick and Francois' chalet in Sallanches. This secret, magical and tasteful place in the mountains (at 1300 m/ about 10 minutes drive up from sallanches village) with open view on the Mont Blanc made us almost speechless, when we arrived. The friendly owners put a lot of attention into making this place a comfortable and special vacation home for every guest. The house is exceptionally well equipped. Over the years we got used to bring all the stuff as toilet paper, kitchen paper, coffee, tee, filters, dishwasher-tabs, soap, oil, sugar, salt, candles ecetera with us to the vacation home. Not here. It's a big comfort and plus on top, especially when your visit is short, not to have to worry about the basics. You can start your vacation or weekend right away. We went skiing everday. One of the numerous and well situated ski lifts is Télécabine de LA PRINCESSE in Demi-Quartier, between Combloux and Megève, easy to reach by car in the morning (25 minutes to drive, parking for free) and by ski at the end of the day. Dear Janick and Francois, we hope to be able to come back soon. We already miss the peaceful and cosy atmosphere of Chalet de Champ Devant. Merci à vous and all the best to you and your kids.
